Name: Hannah
Age: 51
Happy Place: Planet Earth
Meeting Point: Prague, Czech Republic
Planet Earth, this is her Happy Place. Even though she lives in Europe, Hannah has taken a great deal of inspiration from Buddhism for her interpretation of the happy place. She was inspired to write this poem after seeing the paper in front of her. Sometimes it only takes little to find wonderful inspiration.
On my first day in Prague, I wander around the city in search of a welcoming place. I have to be honest, in spite of being on the road for only one week, I was feeling homesick, for the first time in my life. These feelings are passé once I enter the tiny Café Liberica run by Hannah.

She sees my Rubic’s Cube and tells me how this was the only toy during Communist times and that they used to play with them constantly. I decide to give it to her and with this, a loving atmosphere emerges, where we both begin to shine. I feel at home while sitting in this warm place.
Having been to India several times in her life, she follows the practices of the Tibetian Buddhism. It is one day her dream to visit the origins of her philosophy. She believes that she still can learn considerably if she were to find the right teacher.
She seems to be a human that has plenty of affection to give. I realize this partly through her relationship with her dog. With great enthusiasm does she show and tell me of her magnificent Swiss Shepherd.
The Story of a kind-hearted woman. Inspired by an ideology far away from her home, yet very successful in spreading it to the people around her. In her café, she effectively manages to make the lives of her guests brighter, coffee by coffee.
The Happy Place for her is Planet Earth, where everything co-exists, everyone is connected to each other. A home where she wishes happiness for all beings.
From Hannah, I keep the welcoming attitude that I was able to receive from her. For me, Prague was the first frightening stop. But knowing there are people like her around the world, I have the courage to travel anywhere. When I finish my journey, I hope to create such a warm home for others myself.
